We have received a variety of new items. We will be open on Saturday, March 2nd, and will be closed again from Sunday, March 3rd to Tuesday, March 5th for stocking and maintenance.
Today's item is this. I can't really say exactly what it is, but I'll just call it a glass dome for display purposes.
This is a small glass dome on a three-legged white porcelain base. I looked into it, thinking it might be a dome for a specimen, but I couldn't find anything with a base like this. Given its size, it might be a display dome from a tobacco shop. In any case, it's a rare item.
The glass is wrinkled and old, from before the war. There is a small chip at the bottom, but it is not severely damaged. In the photo above, I stuffed a match into the dome.
